Her very first acting role was at the age of six months as the crying baby in the cult film, Pot Luck directed by Philip Marshak. She studied at Universite Sorbonne in Paris where she was the lead actress in the short experimental film, Femme de Versaille which was shot in the garden of the Palace of Versailles and directed by Andre Duclos. Returning to New York from Paris, she studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. After the Playhouse, she worked in numerous off Broadway productions and made several indie films including Blixa Bargeld Stole My Cowboy Boots with Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos) and Flushed directed by Carrie Ansell, which screened at Slamdance Film Festival.Nicole then moved to Los Angeles where she continued to study the craft of acting with Susan Peretz (Dog Day Afternoon) at the Third Street Theatre.
